Graduates working in London

I am interested to know of the experiences of any who has recently graduated and began workiing in London.

I graduated in 2005 and have since begun a relatively demanding sales job, which pays reasonably well and I should pay off my debts within 2 years.

I have often thought about moving to London in search of better money, but I have consistently heard about people burning out, working from dawn to dusk and still having no money due to the costs of living.

Whilst there is much said about this kind of thing amongst people working in finance and banking, which I don't intend to do, does this still happen in other sectors?
