Ragdoll

Hi,has anyone got a Ragdoll cat?Mine is nearly two and wondered if his personality is the norm.He loves to go outside even though he was bred as an indoor cat,he`s very unaffectionate and when i call him he sticks his nose in the air and walks off.

Sounds pretty normal behaviour for a cat of any type. My two are not too bad, the female gets all excited if I speak to her and her brother just stares at me and walks off.

They will be affectionate but only when they want something.

My two were feral born kittens but 'saved' when very young. They are in indoor cats, but even so there is sometimes hours go by without me seeing them.

Dogs are always trying to please their owners and crave attention, it is the way of the wolf, but cats don't really care.

Anyway in human years he is a teenager. Many human teenage males ignore their parents.

Enjoy your cat, he stays with you because he wants to. He knows that you will care for him and love him.

Hi, sounds just like my Ragdoll X...... loves climbing trees and eating wasps etc!!! Doesn't like to be stroked..... but lays in my daughters arms like a baby and purrs for England and we love him to bits....he's one wicked kitty!!!!!

Oh yes, i forgot to mention the climbing.Hes always up a tree and i even saw him on next doors roof the other week.He is a worry but he does make us laugh.My father in law came to pick our dog up last week,he was backing the car out and there was Cobweb on the back seat bold as you please next to the dog.We lost him once but could hear him meowing.We then remembered we`d been in the loft an hour before.He`s a nightmare but we wouldn`t be without him.

He sounds like fun. I bet he is a lovely cat. Not a dull moment.
