Mail Piling Up

I live in a relatively new build shared block of apartments and there is a lot of mail starting pile up downstairs that is addressed to previous tennants. Whose responsibility is it to deal with them? Should they just be put back in a postbox with "return to sender" written on them or something?

Yes just cross out the address and write return to sender.

Personally I'd ditch the lot. It only costs around �40 a year to get your post redirected for 12 months (or even less for lesser periods) therefore if they weren't prepared to pay that, they can't be that bothered about what happens to their post.

I'd rip it up and put it out for recycling. Or return to sender.

I've always had my post redirected and never had any problems, but event hen it was only for the off thing that I had forgotten to change my address on. I am such a worrier!

I think with identify theft becoming a bigger problem its a sensible thing to have post redirected. It might just be junk mail and they have already redirected all the important stuff.

Put it in a bag/envelope and send it back to the local sorting office - let them send it back officially. Some companies are really slow to take action -as they can persue the debt ad infinitum, as long as they have an address to send the letters to.
