Alex reminds me so much of my eldest daughter ~ his speech is the same, although I would say that he has more expression in his voice than she does.
Although he has problems with reading and my daughter doesn't (However she didn't read at all until she was almost 9) he is much more eloquent..there is no way she can open up and describe her problem as well as he can.
Thanks for posting xx

cazzzzz that is such a shame about your Son!!!
I just hope it helped, even in a small way!!
So many people with these illnesses and so many more just totally unaware of what these kids and adults go through on a daily basis, mentally and physically and they just get on with life!!
Truly inspirational

Didn't upset me at all, love..I appreciate the posting very much. If it helps just one person understand Aspergers, it is all worthwhile.
I applaud Alex for making the video. He has explained the condition much better than I ever could ~ and as Caz (the diamond) knows, as parents of Aspergers kids we have a lot explained to us by professionals..andof course we live through it to some extend as we deal with our children.
I think I have already expressed my admiration for Caz. I don't have half of what she lives with on a daily basis..but she copes incredibly well. I have often found it hard dealing with my daughter but I cannot begin to imagine the stress Caz and her family have in their lives.
I salute you again, Caz.. :o) xx
My daughter is coping well, RATTER ~ thanks for asking. She is planning to take the train to college tomorrow and I am feeling a little anxious about it..it will be the first ime I haven't dropped her off! I have offered to come with her but she won't hear of it. I am trying to let go....

My own Daughter lives in sheltered accommodation near Croydon, she is a severe epileptic, from the age of three she starting having seizures and missed out on so much schooling, having up to 20 seizures a day and having to wear a cycling helmet to protect her head at all times.
She is know a beautiful young lady who has decided to live near Croydon after going to a special college near Crawley and making many friends in the area.
She still has regular seizures but is a lot more controlled know but still needs close monitoring. She will never be allowed to drive a car and employers run a mile when they find that she is a severe epileptic.
She is always very positive and has never complained, she travels by herself and recently flown to Sweden by herself with no problem, I am so proud of her!!!
