Hi there,

Just recently moved into a new house and we are presently 'doing' the garden. I am really reluctant to put my rotary dryer in the middle of our new lawn and wondered whether any answerbankers had heard of the idea of putting it in a bucket filled with concrete and placed on castors so that it can be moved out of sight when not in use? Has anyone done this? If so, what size of bucket would I need?

Thanks for the advice in advance!

Hi nemobell, why not just get a piece of metal tubing slightly larger diameter than the pole on the rotary dryer, dig a hole insert the tubing and slot the dryer into the tubing as and when you want to use it, put a plastic plug into it when it isn't in use, hope this helps you, I have never heard of one going into a bucket, what I have suggested is what we do in some council properties, good luck, Ray
I have what ray suggests, but we did use a parasol base for some time which worked well!
You can buy the ground spikes for the dryer for a couple of quid from argos - they are a devil to hammer into the ground though. But once they are in you can then just lift your dryer in and out as you need it.
