In my kitchen I have a 'Swan Mixer Tap' with Porcelain lever handles and quarter turn valves. The tap drips constantly at the moment and I cannot seem to find where to fix the leak (probably just replace a washer). I have had the neck out and it seems that the cold tap still delivers water despite the valve being 'closed'. Is there any way to fix this problem...other than replacing the 'O' rings on the bottom of the neck?
Any help appreciated.
these types of mixers generally have small ceramic discs instead of washers you would have to remove the innards of the hot or cold tap and take them down local merchants to get correct replacement as there are various types this is because the ceramic wears causing tap valves to let by
Thanks for that, but how easy is it to remove the innards of the hot or cold tap? I only ask because after removing the quarter turn valves all I am left with is the 'valve cog' (not sure if this is correct description) and no obvious way in! I'll take the whole tap down the local diy shop and get them to look at it I think.
Thanks again.
