Play An Instrument?

Does any body play a musical instrument for relaxation? I muck about with an accoustic guitar and keyboard, but I'd really really like to play the banjo, like in duelling banjos from the film Deliverance, or the theme from the Beverley Hillbillies. If you do play, you got a story?

i learnt the recorder in primary school!

I went to recorder lessons in primary school but only learnt the first two notes of 'The Golden Cockeral'.. and when we had to play it in assembly... I stood out the most coz my recorder was frickin' Yellow and came free with a music magazine and I played two notes and then just stood there! Lol

I love acoustic both 6 and 12 string, Did try 5string G banjo once but couldn't get hang of 5th short string.

I can play the piano,guitar and recorder, nothing fancy, just a few basic tunes, I`m currently learning The Dearhunter tune on the guitar

I played a 12-string guitar, both acoustic and
electric, for many years, Made a lot of weekend
pocketmoney, singing and playing in a duo, around
the pubs and clubs.

Then I accidentally broke my left wrist and can
no longer span the longer chords. Now I only
occasionally pick up the guitar and knock out a
few Country/Western ditties until it's too painful
to continue. Pity, but c'est la vie...........
