I need to get a taxi from Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil after 22:00. Problem is, I don't know how much it will cost and what taxi service is the best to use. Can anyone give me advice? Thank you.

A rough guide to taxi fares, along mainly rural roads, is around 2 per mile. As the distance involved is around 25 miles, that provides a (very rough) estimate of 50. Some firms might charge as much as 60 but others might do the journey for around 35 to 40. There are some phone numbers, for taxi firms in Cardiff, here:

However, you may well find that the cheapest fares are offered by firms based in Merthyr Tydfil. Try these:

PS: The last bus is service X4, from Bay A1 of Cardiff Bus Station (which is alongside the rail station) at 2205. It arrives at Merthyr Tydfil at 2255. That's based on the times for today. For other days, see here:

If you're arriving in Cardiff by rail, around 2200 (but not quite soon enough to catch the X4) you could book through travel to Pontypridd, taking the 2211 train from Cardiff Central (arriving in Pontypridd at 2243). Then take a taxi from there:
