Scottish Plain Loaf

Does anyone have a recipe for a traditional scottish plain loaf.
It's difficult to get in England so I thought I would bake my own.

i lived down south for a while , never saw a plain loaf, something i really missed especially the outsiders, best to get someone to post you some, my aunt did this for years to her two sons who lived in torquay, re a recipe sorry cant help.

If you type into your search engine scottish plain loaf bread, there is a company who will send this to you. They send worldwide but at this minute in time, they are out of stock. You could always order a few loaves and freeze them.

I live in the midlands England and I get them at Farm Food Stores and some Co-oop stores have them.,but you have to be quick they go off shelves pretty quick .Hope this helps.

No recipe I'm afraid but I can offer this... i've used them before to satisfy my cravings for an outsider!

Perhaps we should start a petition to get Mothers Pride to send more South!

If anyone knows where to get empire biscuits I'd be grateful. Can't bake my own, they don't taste the same.
