closing down

when i close down my computer it says other people are logged into this computer how can they be there is only me here cheers

Bit of a worry. Sounds like someone's connected to your PC as another user. Go to Start, Settings, Administrative Tools, Computer Management. Open 'Shared Folders' and select 'Sessions' to see who / what is connected.
