I wouldn't try to colour it yourself, i would seek the advice of a hairstylist. They may be able to suggest some sort of deep consitioner that will prevent your hair from becoming more damaged. They will also be able to advise you on which colours will be ok to cover the current colour. A tip is not to self dye your hair too often, as if you have residue left off the hair dye before, it can cause your hair to turn a funny colour when you put another dye on top of it!
This isnt too hard to fix. "GOLDEN" means it has red highlights in it. which will of course make it seem more orange.what you need to do,is to color your hair with an ASH color. ASh colors counteract red/orangey tones. So next time choose an ASH brown and it should get rid of the orange tones. Good luck!
Also...before your next coloring...use hot oil treatments and leave conditioner in your hair as long as possible, which should cut back on the damage and dryness. Since you arent bleaching your hair, your damage should be minimal. Just please make sure you get your hair trimmed! If you dont want to go to to a salon, make sure you buy a new pair of Sharp sciosors, otherwise you'll just be ripping the hair when you trim.
