Hydranga

I bought a hydranga bush last summer for a big pot in my garden, and it flowered beautifully. It has doubled in size this yeat, but hasnt flowered. Is it too late now? And if so, why hasnt it? Is there something I should have done, and/or something I could do for next year? Thanks :)

What you just described is often normal for new shrubs. It has put all of its energy into growth and it will be good for it because its roots system is getting established.It will not flower now, because you would see heads developing. Dont trim it because this years growth will produce flower next year. :o)

One of our Hydranga plants is just coming into bloom, so there's time for your one yet!
