5)Soft part of the body.........quiz doesn't say the answer has to be a kind of fruit, and no no. of letters given, so opinions please, is it more likely to be skin, flesh. or if it refers to the soft part of the fruit, pith.
29) Part of a fork surrounds anger.

Thanks atoach. I had been changinging anger to ire, which is why I didn't get that one.
Thanks GetOverIt-Iwas obviously completely on the wrong tack.
was just trying to get hubby to do soft part of the body so thanks for that - totally on wrong track.
Still need 7 more but haven't given up yet
Four to do, if anyone's stuck.
Can you help with:

13. Wander after Boron

16. Lose Badly

27. Type of suit with scrambled five (which I assume means the answer to question 5)

If these are different from the ones you need, just shout!
13) Bramble.
Boron = B
Wander = Ramble.
16. Sloe
Still missing 15, 19 & 27 (stuck on the suit, unless it's birthdayberry)
Thanks Valerie and brokenbank

15. initial letters - F I G

19. pine plus the answer to question 2 - apple

I can think of many suits but none seem to fit with answer 5.. Swim, wet, law, suit of armour, shell, suit in a pack of cards, tuxedo and so on.
Very many thanks, it's so apparent once one sees the answers. Will plod on with the suit question.....have abandoned the birthday theme.
No.27 Grape
"G" suit and an anagram of No. 5 (pear)
brokenbank - can you explain the 'g' suit? I came up with grape about 3 o'oclock this afternoon as it fitted with pear but dismissed it as I didn't see how the 'g' related to a suit.
I dont have 24 and I dont seet g suit either but didnt think it needed anagram of pear with it
A G-suit is worn by aviators
so I just need high ranking bureaucrat please
G suit is worn by pilots to counteract the effect of G forces when turning sharply in jet aircraft. I should have spotted this much sooner as I spent 12 years in the RAF, albeit a long time ago! G = gravity.
smouse - clue 27 was type of suit with scrambled five. The answer to 5. is pear so that has to go with the G, making grape.

I've got mandarin for the bureaucrat.
Thanks for the explanation brokenbank
Yes, Mandarin for No.24......it's a slang term used for high ranking Bureaucrats.
thanks for that
