a test for people living outside the UK,
can you connect to www.google.co.uk recently ive been unable to connect and google.com redirects me to google.es and i get spanish results...
Is anyone else outside the UK haveing similar problems?

It may be that google look at your Windows settings and directs you to the appropriate google for your country.

Is your windows country set as Spain ?

This would be in your Regional and Language options in windows.

(Not sure how Google does it, but if I put www.google.com it always changes it to www.google.co.uk)

I dont think its regional settings, i think its done on IP and ISP's. Still cant get google.co.uk no matter how i select it, though links/typing or searches.
I didnt know if google is now restricting .co.uk to UK IP's only. Ive been hearing all kinds of rumours about similar happening in the middle & far east.

Problem fixed.....
Google have updated their search engine and Telefonicas lousy DNS servers took a week to point in the new direction.
