Hotel in Home Alone 2

What is the hotel the kid in home alone 2 stays in?? Is it real? Where is it?
Also is the toy shop real aswell??

Its the Plaza Hotel, NY. yes its real.


and the shop... i don't this so because its called 'Ducan's Toy Chest' which is a character in the film. but it could've been filmed in a real shop.

and Donald Trump, who used to own the Plaza did a little cameo in the film.

The Plaza is currently being turned into luxury apartments - the film was filmed in and around the hotel. The toy shop is not real but just accross the road from the Plaza is the toy shop from BIG where he plays the piano on the giant floor keys.

According to Wikipedia - Duncan's Toy Chest is a fictional version of FAO Schwarz (which is in NY, and featured in BIG with Tom Hanks)
