Synonym

Any help would be appreciated, hints, clues, etc.... Take a 10 letter word with 5 vowels and 5 consonants, remove a letter 'i' and rearrange the remaining 9 letters to form a word that is a synonym of the first word. What are the two words?. I havent found anything that works.

Where on earth would you start?! I don't believe there's enough info in the question to be able to answer this in any reasonable timeframe. My initial thought was inflammable (11) which it obviously isn't.

I suggest working backwards (ie. looking for two synonyms that are pretty close letterwise) - but still a mammoth task - unless someone's heard the question before. Good luck!
