What should I check if the ABS dash light is on on our Galaxy (2.3 Ghia 1998)?

The yellow connectors under the two front seats. If you go to your local Ford dealer and see if someone could have a quick look - on my mondeo a couple of years back, a mechanic came out - reset it using the ignition key as it was only a loose connector and it went out. It depends on how it is flashing too as to what is the matter with it.
