I have had it a couple of times where i don't have anything then get up and on it comes but i'm as stumped as you. Any ideas guys?
Without sounding too nasty, I always assumed that this was because when asleep you are laying down and what with the laws of gravty and all that..... Oh, I've just had my lunch...... If you're not a heavy bleeder anyway then it'd be pretty normal to 'stop' at night as the blood would only run 'down' your legs when you are upright. I mean, if you slept stood up you'd probably still bleed. Do you see what I mean? I'm kind of rambling.
Mine seems to stay the same wether I'm in bed or not.
I find it's actually the opposite and that Im heavier at night?
The only time it seems to stop is when I go in the shower or the bath and seems to stop an hour after which I find strange!
I wouldn't worry too much about this as all women are different, and I wouldn't say its abnormal, some women have heavier periods than other's.
Men should just wish themselves lucky, god forbid if they had to go through this every month, they would think they were dying and ring for an ambulance asap!!
