Unwanted Tiscali NAV Update

I've just checked my Tiscali bill online and discovered that they have charged me for a year's update to Norton Anti-Virus.
I signed up for the service last year and paid a years subscription. I didn't want to continue with it beyond the year.
I had no email from Tiscali or Symantec asking if I wanted to subscribe again this year - they've just assumed I want it and have added it to my bill.
I've not downloaded anything to do with NAV as far as I'm aware although the normal AV updates were set to install automatically since NAV was first installed.
I think it's wrong that they can charge you for this without asking if you want it.
Can someone provide me with some advice please? Right now, I feel like emailing Tiscali and kicking up a right fuss.

You have every right to request a full refund, this scam is similar to bank charges. Just say NO and demand a refund from Tiscali , they have no right to take your money without confirmation, unless the T&C stated so when you signed up a year ago. This might be another example of READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A lot of Companies run thing on continuous renewal, where they automatically renew unless you say otherwise. This will be in the terms and conditions somewhere. Most do send an email or something to advise you that they will be renewing but I think this is more courtesy than anything.
