They will fight in the beginning, whatever you do; your job is to make sure that they don't seriously hurt each other. Firstly introduce them for short periods of time in a neutral place, so neither feels they have to fight for territory, and keep them on leads at the beginning. Build this up slowly and don't be put off by aggressive displays, these are natural. When they are more used to each other let them off the leads - keep a bucket of water handy to throw over them if things get too bad - but until they are both settled with each other there will be scraps over dominance. Make sure they have their own area in your house to sleep in and which they can retreat to if need be. Good luck!
Why on earth would you want to introduce another staff when the bitch has made it clear she wants nothing to do with him. You are asking for trouble. Also it is not very fair on the bitch, having got her first and then upsetting her by bringing in another dog. And let me guess - female staff + male staff = little staffs? With their temperaments - I do hope not. A well socialised, balanced staff should not be aggressive to another dog, particularly when they are of the opposite sex.

If you let them together and they do get into a serious fight, you will have the devil's own job to separate them as staffs lock their jaws when they have got hold of something - I am afraid a bucket of water will just not cut it.

Do yourself and the two dogs a favour, let someone else have him.
Sorry, I have to disagree, I have two staffs (both male) and they HATED each other at first, but if you introduce them slowly then there is every chance they will get on. Of course you have to ready yourself for the possibility that you won't, as you would with any two dogs whatever their breed, but under the right circumstances they can be very sociable, fun-loving pets. And please please make sure you introduce them very slowly, otherwise if they do fight Lankeela is right, you'll never seperate them.

just to get the record clean i am not geting another staff to breed him with the bitch i am geting this staff because if he isnt housed he will be put down and i wont see a beautiful young health staff put down both dogs have a lovely temperment just not when i brought the male staff to my house (which i know was a bad idea to let them meet there) negther staffs are agresive but like all dogs they do fight well they do were i come from fairkatrina you seem to know what you are talking about with you having 2 your self thank you for your ansew and hopefuly when i let them meet again this weekend they do get on i made the mistake of leting them meet in my house where the bitch was protective .
lankeela i will disagree with you when you make these dogs out to be evil and horible dogs when if you actualy had one your self you would know male or female are both loving and trusting dogs i might be asking for trouble hear but im willing to give it a try STAFFS RULE!!!!!!!
