gas meter

Hi All my son's mate is saying he wants to put his gas meter back to front to get free gas. he lives in a shared uni house with my son and others.
I thought ther gas board fines people for it and puts t a widget in to stop the gas flowing backwards, is this the case?
will the gas board fine them

The power companies do not fine - the police prosecute.

It is theft under the Theft Act and carries hefty fines, with the accompanying criminal record. It is also dangerous.

For one unless it is a very very old meter it will not work, and for two you realy should voice you're concern as messing about with gas is a big NO NO. He could easily cause harm to you're son, his mates, surounding neighbours and property. Could even be Jailed for it aswell !!! Especially if Death occours.

remove meter
link the 2 pipes together using fittings from any plumbers merchants
gas on
job done
free gas
