Diabetes?

For the past week I've been weeing every 20 minutes or so. I dont feel like I have a uti so im wondering if it could be the start of diabetes. Has anyone with diabetes had this symptom? Im not thirsty all the time. Im 52. Thank you.

it's unlikely to be diabetes. the thirst is all-consuming, and there are other symptoms too, not just needing the loo a lot. but to be on the safe side, take a wee sample into your surgery and they can dip a stick in it to give a very good indication. my son has had diabetes for 15 years.

Be aware that there are many people who have diabetes and show no symptoms - it is discovered in routine checks.

Thirst is not always present in Type 2 diabetes, but frequent urination is one of many possible symptoms.

See your GP - it can be detected by simple tests.

Thanks for your replies both and the link Ethel. I have'nt been weeing so much today but I am seeing my gp to be on the safe side.
