I have just been to my loacal supermarket and as they have frozen pizzas on offer, have bought a quantity seeing as it`s half-term. However, these round pizzas are all in square boxes whixh just would not fit into my freezer. I put all the loose - polythene wrapped - pizzas into a carrier bag into the freezer. Being left with a quantity of empty gaudy coloured boxes I then have to dispose of into recycling bin. Now I am sure that I am not the only one who has to do this, so the obvious question is - why can`t the manufacturers sell the pizzas just in polythene wrapping - brightly coloured if they must? Any comments?

they do in Tesco. Not all of them but some of the range dont have card.

You can always make your own then there is no waste.

Excellent advice, except of course it would probably cost a lot more to make my own. And have you tried giving a teen-ager your own-made pizza? no matter how good it tastes or how much/how little it costs, it will not compare with Chicago Town, will it?

My home made pizzas taste better than Chicago Town and work out cheaper if you make three or four at a time and then freeze them!

Have you got a branch of Asda anywhere near you? Many of their branches will make pizzas up for you, they taste great and are really good value for money. I have tried making my own and have gone back to the Asda ones. ..........and they don't put them in a box!

Generally it is to prevent freezer burn. Not a problem if the items aren't in the freezer too long. Over a month and you may end up tossing a few which reduces the savings.
