Non-flushing toilet
Toilet won't flush - just seems to be a case of no oomph in the handle. Willing to have a go at fixing it but what part do I need?

No "oomph" in the handle sounds to me like the chain connecting the handle to the flush valve. This is the valve that opens to begin the flushing process. The chain can become corroded and break (happens regularly). Take the top lid off (don't drop it... things get unimaginatively expensive with small mistakes). Move the handle while observing the end of it inside the tank. If it is broken, often one can repair it with a paper clip tying the two ends until you can buy a new one (they're inexpensive). If that's not the case, or if your model is different from the one I describe, best to have someone look at it. The system is fairly simple and little can go wrong that can't be fixed easily... usually...
OK... when you look inside the tank, you'll notice a water mark around the inside where the tank has refilled previously. Is the water now reaching that same level? Sometimes the float mechanism doesn't let the tank fill properly and there's not enough water for a proper flush.
Additionally, when you flush the tank the flush valve at the bottom attached to the handle chain should stay up until the tank is almost empty and then flop down sealing the flush drain. Depending on the model, sometimes this valve closes too soon not allowing enough water through. See if all that checks out...
