Parking Laws
Hi, Does anyone know if it is illegal to bump up the kerb to park on grass behind your own property. The grass is council owned but they have said there is no problem parking on it. Unfortunatley we have an ambitious PCSO that keeps leaving warnings on peoples cars saying it is illegal but the council say it is ok by them. She has then changed her story and stated it is for "bumping up the kerb" not parking on the grass!!

You cannot be prosecuted for "Bumping up a kerb" if there are no other circumstances relating to this situation, you can write a letter of complaint to the Chief Constables Office. Even if you were to damage the kerb it would not be a police/PCSO matter it would be for the local authority to prosecute you
