Tried my son's Tom Tom sat nav today on the motorway. The spped camera warning set off a 30mph and a 40mph camera on the motorway. Both were near slip roads. Were the camera on other roads or is this normal? Also noted that at about 70mph on my car speedo it was always only registering 67mph on the Tom Tom so which would be more accurate please.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

I`ve learned to ignore the speed camera one on mine (well only the the areas that i`m familiar with)
As for the speedo reading a friend of mine was going to return his car because the reading MPH on his tomtom was greater than his speedo reading in the car and he thought he was clocking up more milage(numpty)
All of the tt`s i`ve had have always registered 4-5mph more than the cars speedo but not the other way around
A sat Nav gives a truer reading than any cars Speedo.

All car's speedos have to be set up by law not to show your speed being lower than you are really going, thats why you will get a lower reading on the sat nav.
i think what you experienced was ur sat nav picking up speed cameras in the vicinity to the slip roads, so u wont have actually passed any, my road angel does that!
If you read the TomTom manual you will see that you can set it up to either warn or ignore speed cameras on neighbouring roads. TomTom speed indication is likely to be more accurate.

Thanks for your replies.
Also if you haven't updated the speed camera database you will have warnings about old cameras that may have been removed.
