Tell No-one by Harlan Coben. Brilliant book couldn't put it down. Alternatively if you like period set books try Sovereign about a murder comitted in the time of Henry VIII, It's very good and easy to read.
The best book I've read in ages is C.J.Sansom's Sovereign.
it's great isn't it I'd definately read another one of his.
The Da Vinci Code and also the other 3 Dan Brown novels, Deception Point, Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress. GREAT books that i couldn't put down from start to finish!!

And if you want an older book, its not really a 'thriller' but its a classic... 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. Really excellent!! x
I would recommend any of Lee Child's, Jack Reacher is my ideal man!!
If you haven't already, Hannibal - Thomas Harris, bit gruesome but a great read...
I'm a bit loathe to recomend books as peoples taste differ so much but try Nelson de Mille or Gerald Seymour. clairybear is spot on with Lee Child & when murphytherot recomended the mockingbird he recomended one finest books of modern literature
Spanky by Christopher Fowler. A supernatural thriller on a modern day Faustian theme. A daemon promises to transform a bloke's life, granting success, and seemingly asks nothing in return. But of course there is always a price to pay, and things turn nasty, leading in a race to stop terrible things from happening.
I would agree about Lee Child, and Harlan Coben, both excellent authors. I also like Stephen Leather, he writes great thrillers.
The Shadow of the Wind.
Dissolution, Dark Fire and Sovereign by c j sansome.

Stephanie Plum books by JAnet Evanovich (funny, girly thrillers)

Anything by Kathy Reichs,
Hi enid, not a thriller but a brilliant read,

Stephen smiths autobiography " Addict" I could not put this book down, I really was addicted to it, superb.
any books by Robert Ludlum
I think that the best thriller ever written is
Frederick Forsyth's "The Day of the Jackal".

Running it pretty close, though, is Murray
Smith's "The Devil's Juggler" This has
everything - the Secret Service, the SAS,
the first Gulf War, the NYPD, a Columbian
drugs cartel, and an excellent plot tying them
all together. It's a real page-turner.

And I agree with those who recommend Lee
Child's Jack Reacher novels. If you like thrillers,
and you've never read any of these, I envy you
the reading pleasure you have to come.

"The Devil's Juggler" - I forgot. The IRA also
features prominently - very prominently!
Try reading some thing by Philip Pullman, such as The Sally Lockhart quartet or the His Dark materials Trilogy . I found them both very Thrilling.:-D
i agree with helion about kathy (bONES) REICHS, we have several here and even though david boreanez's character is not in the book they are clever cos she writes about the character in the show who in the show writes about the character in the books.
Any book by Gerald Seymour...he written about 20 thrillers.
Fingersmith by Sarah Waters

The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfield
