problem with windows xp

please can sombody help me just in the last coulpe of days I have been unable to delete pictures from my pictures folder, all it does is copy them so now I have about 250 of each picture , this is so frustrating has anyone got any ideas as to what is wrong

which methods have you used to try & delete them , ie drag & drop to the recycle bin / right click delete ect......

That's a difficult one. Sounds like a virus or Spyware? Only link I could find was this one:-

I have had a situation where files couldn't be deleted (a corrupt recycle bin which had to be rebuilt through DOS), but never one that kept copying the files.
