Dizzy Spells/LightHeadedness

Hello all,
For the past couple of weeks I have been getting the above, last night as I turned my head to look at something on the tv it felt like it took me a couple of seconds to focus and a weird feeling like my brain was spinning the ony way I can describe that feeling is, you know those compasses you used to get with them floating in the liquid, like that......hope that makes sense. Also I'm rubbing my eyes quite alot.....just wondering what it may be and if any Abers have had a similar thing.
I will book an appointment at the doctors tomorrow just to be on the safe side. xx

may be due to blood pressure with the dizzy spells and lightheadedness not to sure about the rubbing of the eyes

Sounds like high blood pressure, maybe. I am sure he will check that. Good luck anyway

Thanks enid and Goodsoul.....I've suffered with high blood pressure before...so could be that.... xx

are you on medication for the blood pressure ?

No enid.....never have been.....It was always very high when I was taking the pill, so the doctor took me off that (quite a few years ago I might add)....I'm not sure enid if it could be something to do with the change....as my periods have been really up and down for quite a while now.

if you have high blood pressure again I expect he will recommend some life style changes and give you some atenolol for a while.

red sweetie , sorry to hear that but pleased you are going to get yourself checked out. As enidblyton and Goodsoulette said , it could be a number of things as in hypertension .Maybe you were you hypoglycemic , or as you said , if you are getting symptoms of the change.Have you had a cold that has affected your sinuses, that could affect your balance too.? :-) xx

Hiya mamma......I haven't had a cold/flu for about 5 years.. (touches wood :) )
I actually have a family history of high blood pressure and heart attacks....So the sooner it is checked out the better. xx

mamma, I think the doc will do that check too.....my sister who was also her patient suffered with that.
