hi my hair is currently black and i have dyed it like this for 6 years. I have found out about stripping my hair but do not want to do this as it will make my hair orange. am i able to put on a blonde dye and will it cover it? Kelly

I do not think a blond dye will cover black hair. I understand that shop sold products are much less concentrated than salon ones, so I doubt they will be very effective on dyed black hair. I would recommend that you go to a hairdressers to get some good advice and get them to do it professionally. Some years ago, I tried to put blond highlights in my friends naturally black hair with a home bleaching kit. I turned her ginger! She was not very impressed!!
I had dyed black hair and had the colour stripped out of it a couple of years ago. Big mistake, my hair has never fully recovered, it's very dry now. Just let it grow out, it'll look awful, but there's nothing else you can do. Or get it cut short and let it grow out.
