Meant to be going out to a brthday party tonight, only my fella has decided to change the lock on the front door (well he has been meaning to all week as its been broken and i have been nagging him!) only he has got half way through and cant find the pliers so we are locked in the house until he does!! Is it just me, or does anyone else have a partner who does things like this? I havent even started getting ready yet as i know it will be a while yet!
I do!, he starts jobs then spends half an hour wandering around aimlessly looking for various screw/tools ect. then he has to go to b&q, buys something that is the wrong size, then goes back and buys the right one, then resumes his grumbling about me putting his stuff away
the other option is that I leave his cr@p lying around all over the house waiting for the kids to find, I usually like to leave something for him to trip over so he gets my point!
But he has no reason to be nervous! we are just going to his best mates bday bbq and then possibility out to a pub or 2, but i think we are skipping the last bit!
Ive had a tough day at work, spending 8 hours trying to get spreadsheets to print! (they are huuuuuuuuuge spreadsheets, not silly little things!)
In past times I might have sympathised and stayed with Mr Sense on problem resolution, twenty years later I would shimmy out along a drainpipe and laugh from the other side of the letter box -go to the party -but ask one of the others to take him some pliers from their tool chests.
