i would like to give blood but have a problem with wrists (they make me faint) is there anyone who knows whether the blood can be taken from another part of the body?

The blood is not normally taken from the wrist. It is taken from the inner arm in the crease between your forearm and upper arm.

yeah, that's where they put it last time, think it was still a bit close, was hoping maybe avoid arms altogether

I used to work for the national blood service, and they dont take it from the wrist. You should eat plenty and drink plenty od cold sugary fluids before donating. You would be fine, there would be someone with you the whole time. Good luck
