B&Q .. what does it stand for?

What do the letters B and Q stand for in the name of the UK wide DIY store chain?

can't remember, but i remember reading it on the B&Q website. Surnames of 2 blokes that started it and sold it to woolworths for a pitiful amount

Ireckon it stands for Big Queues as thats what you get everytime you go in there.

it stands for Richard Block and David Quayle - the two blokes who started the company, then went on to loose all their money. i work in the B&Q kidderminster Warehouse :) - ah well the pay is alright
