Scroll down to B Restrictions on Importation. You will see that meat needs authorisation, certification and inspection. Most countries do not allow you to import meat.

My mother in law travels to Greece (Crete) twice a year and always takes food with her including bacon , Oxo cubes (!)and Cracker Barrel cheese.

Why does she do this? Because the Greek versions are not the same! When in Rome..............is my mantra but there's nowt so queer as folk!
