hi does any know how to use a home version sunbed , i have been given one , but i want to be sure i know what if any creams and potions to use and do i need to do anything before and after,am a complete novice so any advice on how to use your own sun bed would be great , thank you , shez
Not what you are gonna want to hear but..............the only advice is (take it from one who knows) DONT DO IT!! DONT GO NEAR IT!! TAKE MY ADVICE WHILST YOU CAN, trust me you WILL regret it later in life! Get your tan out of a bottle ; )
I agree with Curlyperm in totality but if you are determined......
You don't need any lotions or potions
Use the bed preferably with no existing perfumes or body lotions lingering on your skin
Stick to the recommended timing
Use it every other day, not every day
Cover any large moles
Wear the goggles (uva greatest cause of cataracts)
Cover your face (think wrinkles!!)
I used to own a Beauty Salon/Sunbed Salon. Some girls used the beds too much. There is one girl in particular who is now 44 and looks 60, her skin is so wrinkly.(She was warned!)
Remember this - the verb 'To Tan 'means 'To Turn in to Leather.'...Not nice..........!!!
hi thank you for your advice , i have taken on board what you have told me , i dont have any look with the bottled tan stuff i always look tago,d or i miss bits lol, i just cant seem to get it right, so i thought "i know i will get me a sun bed " but i will carry on trying to use the bottled stuff till i get fed up with trying , then i may try this sun bed when i pluck up the courage , so thank you very much , shez
Will it not look a bit odd with a tanned body and a white face? You can get accelerator creams which help you tan faster, and as for aftercare, regular exfoliation and moisturising keeps your skin looking good and encourages cell renewal.
well obviously it will look odd if she just leaves the face 'bare' but i am assuming that tylersnan is aware of bronzing make up etc that is soooooooo much easier to use on a small area and wont go streaky etc henceforth it will blend in, NO amount of creams and exfoliation can repair damaged cells the ONLY way is PREVENTION, may not think so now, but you will regret it ..............honestly x
Im definitely not advocating sunbed use but creams and exfoliation do help maintain a tan and reduce the amount of sessions needed. Exfoliation does encourage cell renewal by removing dead cells from the surface of your skin. And I guess if the poster is happy to wake up in the morning with a white face and a brown body then good luck to her lol!! Oh, and good luck when you go swimming too!!
