Leaving Job
1 Answers
i recently accepted a new job and took the cowardly way out of handing my notice in and left it on the bosses desk. i can see the manager being really nasty about me leaving because its for a rival company which they hate and do not get along. i do feel genuinely bad about leaving because i intended to stay longer and it is out the blue and inconvient for the company as my leaving date is 4 days before a important event is due to take place how do i possibly go about in the nicest way of saying im leaving for more money and better hours? or just tell it how it is?
thanks :)
thanks :)

Leaving your resignation letter on your bosses table as apposed to handing it in person, will not win you many friends. You should have handed it personally and had a one to one chat. Your boss would not shoot you down for leaving your job for greener pastures. It's common practice. They may have also been able to offer you a better wage which meant you could have stayed longer.
