Did anyone see the report this weekend of the family in Newcastle who were suffering at the hands of the local yobs because they were all ginger/red-heads? The children in the family were bullied and the family had moved 3 times as a result. Apparently ginger-abuse is quite common in this country-yet in the states red hair is seen as something to be proud of. What is YOUR experiance? Do you dislike gingers?

Did anyone else read this story and think of the Catherine Tate sketch on gingers??

No I don't dislike ginger people..unless they are unlikeable people of course..I take everyone on their own merits!

Ginger hair runs in my family anyway ~ my dear departed grandad was a redhead and he was a lovely man :o)

I was wondering if there is a historical basis....those nasty Vikings who sacked and pillaged were redheads! I am glad that the family involved seem to be instilling pride in what they are in their kids.
