Have seen a flag locally that is, from the pole, green, white and yellow in three equal vertical stripes. So far I've not managed to find a country's flag that matches this description.

Any suggestions, web sites, etc that might help would be appreciated.

Google gives lists of countries, companies, states etc, but no search facility for using the description of the flag.

The Flag Detective site is good for this sort of thing but doesn't seem to recognise that colour scheme and pattern:

Are you sure the third stripe is yellow? I think heathfield may be suggesting the answer is Ireland (nothing gets past me, does it?), but the third stripe on their flag is definitely orange.

Thanks folks......my immediate reaction was that it was faded orange and hence Irish, but it is definitely a pale lemon yellow. Perhaps someone has declared independence and got their own flag! If so, they've either researched it very well to avoid any known flag, or just got lucky!

Thanks for the link littleoldme, it might come in handy another day.

Well done, Kempie! Where's those three stars, Snowy?
Question Author
Thanks kempie. I'm sorry that I didn't reply sooner, but I had clicked on the 'closed' question and assumed in my wisdom that it meant that no-one else would be able to post an answer. Obviously I was wrong in that assumption and I shall remember that in future as I'm one who does get a bit niggled when I've made a reply and get no response from the question's author. I hope that you will accept this apology in the manner that it is truly meant.
Apology not required... but accepted nonetheless.
