Approximately how young are they? Baby pigeons are fed by their parents with a special 'milk' which is unique to them, and, I believe, stored in the parent's crop. I don't know a great deal about how it is made by the parent bird. I was just thinking that, if the chicks are very young, you might have to feed them with a special food made to be similar to this. If they are older, then presumably they would eat corn and grain like the adult birds. If New Forester spots this question, then I am sure you will get a really good and helpful answer. Good luck.

Anniekon - Your answer was so similar to what I thought, I had to check the name to make sure I'd not answered it earlier... However, I'm afraid I don't know any more than you -- except I think the "milk" is actually secreted from the inside of the crop. Don't know if mammalian milk would do -- perhaps a thin porridge of oatmeal?
However.... A quick Google on "pigeon rearing" turns up this page: http://212.187.155.84/pass_06june/list_wpmod_cont/ukwildlife firstaid/Health&Man/IndividualHandRearing/HR_Av_Pigeons_Dove s.htm Tells you everything you need to know!
