My bank are surveying my new house

I am with HSBC getting new mortgage for a new purchase, I have asked them to do survey 2 the medium one. How long will it take them to instruct a surveyor, I am worried I will loose the house if they delay this and I have had lots of trouble with them this time and last time I tried to set up new mortgages with them !

recently had to do a survey (but with halifax) and it took 1 week for them to arrange the date, and then another week to write it up. about average times i think
