Tax Rebate

I have a mate who went to our local tax office with his P60 and bish bash bosh, he got a tax rebate of about �600.

I'm thinking of doing the same.

Anyone had any trouble with it? How long does it take and can the tax office tell you straight away?

Was he self employed? On an emergancy rate?

If your employed and pay the standard rates of tax you aint going to get jack.

If you go into your local Tax office with your P60 and any other supporting paperwork, i.e P11D if you have one, details of any pension payments if you are a higher rate tax payer etc they will normally get a Tax Officer to have a look for you.

Do it now whilst they are relatively quite though rather than Dec/Jan time.
