Can someone tell me about the best nightlife places in Bournemouth. I'm heading down for a weekend and need to source good pubs, nightclubs etc... Also if there is anything else i should be aware of, Cheers Jambo

bournemouth is a place with a very high percentage of old people who have retired there,so there is not much of a night life as you would expect.

Normans only partly right. Evenings and weekends its heaving with young people and the bars and clubs are among the best on the south coast, I know because my kids go down there

Bournemouth has changed dramatically in recent years. The multi-millionaire clubbing entrepreneur Richard Carr owns and leases most of the venues in the town, and down the road in Poole.

The best bars are Toko, Bliss, Elements, Censo and there are several strip clubs like Wiggle, FYEO, and Spearmint Rhino. Pubs are all themed affairs, the Inferno on Holdenhurst Road is good, avoid the Wetherspoons like the plague unless you enjoy a 40-minute wait at the bar,

Accomadation is broad, B&B's are plentiful, restaurants are usually the same you get what you pay for...if you get time worth heading down to Poole for a bit more sophistication.

Go and have a ball you'll love it! We take a lot of young people there it has a really I think the word is "Banging" club scene!
