something smells like dog poo - i think its a plant.

How do I identify it & treat it or remove it?

Do you have a privet hedge which is currently bearing white flowers? if so, this might be the culprit. Look around and see if bees or other insects are targetting a particular plant. You might not like the smell but they might be attracted to the nectar. Or has your next door neighbour been putting chicken pellet manure fertiliser on his garden? That can have a particularly strong pong, especially in warm weather.
