What do I do with them now they've finished flowering, please?

They looked a real mess so pulled out what I thought were just the flowers, but the whole plant came as well leaving bare earth. Thank you for any help.

Hi Cetti....yes, pull them all out, lock stock & barrel. Believe me, you'll still have them growing forever more.

No, I was too shocked to see the naked earth. But...armed with knowledge I shall now proceed to attack the remaining plants with gusto ....
yes, that's the thing...I have a sea of forget me nots & afterwards I'm faced with spaces to fill.

My naked bits will have to remain naked,as our neighbour is about to have an eighty foot snow gum felled...... some contractors are not too careful of plants that happen to be in the way!

I wouldn't mind your reed buntings, but this garden is...and will be an absolute joy.......as long as you all help me.....!!!!
