Why is it my cat goes mad whenever i bleach the kitchen floor. She runs in and rolls all over almost how she would act with cat nip!
I now have to close the kitchen door but my other cat is a clever little thing and knows how to open it!
Is this normal for a cat to behave in this way over bleach?
Does anyone else have the same thing?

I brew beer at home, and whenever I sterilize the equipment with a chlorine-based sterilizing solution my cat goes nuts. I think some cats react to the smell of chlorine.

She also once tore apart a pair of swimming trunks that had been left waiting to be washed after swimming in a chlorinated pool.
Bleach has ammonia in it so has urine so they think another cat has been around, they're trying to cover the scent.
Gelda is spot on, my cats will always lick and lick my hands when I have been using bleach.
