Fiat Punto Oil level

Anyone know the difference between min and max on the dipstick for a 1.2 x reg Fiat Punto? The manual states the amount needed for oil change but it just needs a top up... I am guessing about a litre or so but don't want to risk puting too much in.

Well just put a quarter of a litre in, leave it for 5 minutes, check the level with the dipstick, if it is still low put a little more in, check again after 5 minutes, and so on.............

Your right put to much in it could ruin the engine, but so could not enough.
