Deja vu - naaah, just a subconscious feeling cos you've seen something similar in your lifetime (which your subconscious recalls) but your conscious mind doesn't recall it
I think i agree that psychic abilities exist although i've never met a psychic. What did the clairvoyant say to convince you -alot of the time they do read well off peoples reactions and body language -they are good people readers which is half the skill. I think deja vu does happen to some people but that its more the psychic thing than the deja vu thing. I have definately without a doubt seen things in my sleep that happened exactly the same the next day, just moments in time type-o thing. I know the difference 'cause i've had your jo public deja vu too and i am 100% sure it was not just my brain having a funny moment for a change!
I don't believe there is any other explanation other than the rational, but I've had a few experiences of dj-vu, which were very freaky. Something would happen, someone would be saying something and everything would be identical - the setting, the sounds, the set-up and position of people, the weather... everything. And in my mind I would know full well what is about to happen and/or what is about to be said in the next couple of seconds. But the blood rushes to your head and your ears burn and you can't actually utter anything (even though you desperately want to shout out the next line that is spoken). They seemed to be lasting ages but realistically only ever lasted a few seconds. And of course, you can't tell people you knew what was about to be said, because they'd think you were weird(er). All you can say afterwards is, "... I just had dj-vu". When I was 15/16 I remember having one such experience where I even remembered myself saying that I'd just experienced dj-vu... so it was kind of dj-vu of a previous dj-vu experience... But as I said, I'm sure there's a rational and realistic explanation. I heard one theory that what you're actually "re-living" is the same thing but milliseconds apart and your brain is tricked into thinking they were days, weeks, months or years apart. http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/DisplayAnswers.go?q

I very often have a realistic dream about a conversation or whatever and then a few days or a week later it happens to me in real life. I sit there thinking 'I know what you're going to say next' - and then they do. What I like to do though is deviate from what I say in the dream to prove that it's not all predestined and you can change the path of what's happening if you want to.
I don't believe in psychics or precognition etc. As has already been mentioned, there is always a perfectly sound scientific reason for "supernatural occurrences" - even if it is too hard for people to fully understand (e.g. the inner workings of the brain). Plainly, there is no such thing as dj-vu in the sense that you knew the future before it happened. And "psychics" are just so obviously frauds out to make money. Trust me, if ever there was a mind reader who could really read minds, or a fortune teller who actually saw the future, it would make worldwide news faster than the time it takes to read this sentence. That will never happen, of course, because these things are obviously not possible. You might as well believe in unicorns.
I believe they are very common among teenagers. I had a number of strange feelings when I was a teenager, and later realised something was happening to someone at the time...
More recently a close friend was in labour but I did not know, and I began to think about her very intensely, I had flashes of her through my mind, and later found out that the time this was happening, 9.36 pm, was the time the baby had been born!
We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.
