This quiz is designed to pit our wits against the question setters.
It destroys the quiz ethic to ask on a public forum.
It's not a charity quiz....it's a purely profit quiz.
Besides which there is a forum set up for just your kind of questions

I feel I should come to the defence of my fellow Quizmailer.
Although Quizmail is in theory a cash prize quiz, in reality the prize money is spread among many winners and usually consists of a credit towards the next month`s entry fee. Many people use Answerbank for crosswords where far bigger prizes are on offer.
Quizmailers are not in it for the money but for the fun and the challenge.

Here we go again it seems with Kentishman being the latest victim. I have not been to answerbank for many moons now (largely due to the constant bickering) and back in the days when I was a frequent user there was always someone getting on everyone's back about using it.
The same arguments apply now as applied back then, the objector obviously came to this site for something; was it an answer us just to complain.
And what difference does it make whether it is for a profit or for a charity, no-one ever got rich by winning quizmail. The prize as Virgil says merely helps pay the next month's entry fee.
Now one of the complainers last time time was 'postalquiz' which suggests by virtue of the name that Vic and Dave were maybe getting involved; venting their frustration at the use of the internet and how much more difficult it makes researching the questions. I think we can all appreciate that.
I am quite confident that the top teams do not use this site, probably have never visited this site because they have the time perhaps to visit the library, but of course you need to live close enough to a decent library, none of the two I have access to are worth the bricks and mortar that they are built with.
Finally, no-one seems concerned about any of the other quizzes or crosswords or puzzles on this site and they by far outweigh those posted by quizmailers. WHY?

I just wonder why if people object to the use of Answer Bank for Quizmail questions, why are they looking on this site in the first place? Are they trying to police the Internet while having a crafty look to see if there answers are right.
It's a free country and if people want to give clues or answers away that is there perogative. I look on here only when I am stumped on a certain question, I don't try and fill in the full quiz using answers given by other people. I'm sure everyone here only asks a question when all other routes available to them have failed.
I languish in the lower leagues and pay my 14 every month quite willingly to the quiz, my money keeps the top teams and no doubt the whingers in free quizzes all year. If us "no brainers" stopped entering than the top teams would have to pay and that would give them something to moan about!
