i have just moved into a new house and need some work doing ie a new bathroom . new patio doors (brown not white) and a porch.
i have been qtd 1000.00 for the patio doors
and 3,500.00 for the porch. this seems a little high or i am being unreasonable also how much can i expect to pay for a bathroom to fitted if the basic thing costs around 500.00

What sort of porch? Fully enclosed with a door? UPVC?
Bathroom - will you want it tiling / decorating as well as installing? A shower put in for the first time? Fixtures moved? Old bathroom taken away?
Five foot patio doors, for example, are around 330 from Wickes, with free delivery. Those are white, so brown would cost more. That gives you an idea of the material costs.

I don't know anything about that company, but I think many of these products are much the same. There seems to be two qualities - cheap and very nasty, and good.
If your patio doors are of a standard size and you are fairly competent at DIY it is not a difficult job to replace patio doors. They are big and heavy, so strength is required.
I can only suggest you get more quotes. Don't just look at big companies - have a look at small local traders too. Get a recommendation from neighbours if you can.

In regards to your bathroom, the cost of a plumber will depend if your changing your bathroom ''like for like'' ie new bathroom going in exactly the same place as your old one, re-directing hot/cold pipes and toilet waste etc pump up the price.
Try to do as much DIY as possible, ie decorating, labouring, taking rubbish to a council skip etc, its all big savings, failing that, get a friend whos either in the building game or has good knowledge of DIY, a couple of beers will surfice if hes a good mate.
Same applys to patio doors, if it ''like for like'' it should be relatively straight forward with a little help with the lifting.
Prices for both mentioned can be almost anything, just shop around, your more likely with 500 to spend on a bathroom best going to wickes or BQ.
Ps, Golden rule for a new house, do one room at a time.
