I truly wish that she would just be safely returned. I think this is a cruel hoax and if so the people concerned should be banged up . The only problem is that i believe it is only a matter of time until the news we all dread comes around.

God, we live in a sick world. I fear about what sort of world my five kids will grow up in :-)

I read in Metro (London free newspaper) this morning that the letter 'bears a strong resemblence to a letter sent to the same [Dutch newspaper] a year ago accurately detailing the location of the bodies of two missing Belgian girls".

The article goes on to say that the "Portugese police are taking the information seriously".

I thought it was from the woman who predicted where those bodies would be and because of her being accurate in helping the police in the past they were taking it seriously.

I wonder how often the police approach psychics for help.

Ive been reading the previous question about Maddy of where ABers have mentioned Maddy's parents arent exactly good parents.

I have read some of their website findmadeleine.com blog, I dont know if I have read this properly, but Maddy's mother has been running. How on earth can she go running when her daugther is missing. What do you think of the findmadeleine blog?

bounceagain - Her mother has no doubt been running in order to keep her mind from going insane and to keep herself physically as fit as she can, in order to house the above mind.
The larger part of me hopes that this new info is wrong but the other part of me wants the parents to be put out of their daily nightmare. If there is no resolution, then their grief will always be on high alert ...their adrenaline flowing every day, their bodies in a constant state of stress and anxiety. In these 5 weeks that she has been missing, as a 4 yr old, she must be going through abusive hell, if she is still alive. Whoever has taken her is unlikely to be playing 'happy families' with her.
Just my thoughts.... I so want her to be found alive and unviolated but I just can't see it now, so a conclusion either way at least ends it.

Haven't they ever found out who has sent the previous letter?. It's all very strange - if they have known twice (if it's the same person) then who are they?. Psychics or have they had something to do with both crimes. You'd have thought that there was some DNA that would be on the letter to help track them down!!!!!!!

It would seem a cruel irony if Madeline had been abducted by a paedaphile and killed her in the same week we are about to ask them if they mind taking drugs to cure the habit. There is only one punishment that fits this crime. Hang them in public like the Iranians do!
